How to make money online in 2025

Hi friend,

Hope you’re well.

Earlier this week, my masterclass THE ONE PERSON BRAND went live

It includes the exact frameworks I used to go from 0-10k followers and get over 1.5 million impressions in that time.

You can access it here

Here’s one new belief I have after 2024:

— Anyone can make money on the internet.

You probably already have unique experience or skills that can be valuable to others.

You have knowledge, technical skills, and experience worth thousands of dollars to other people, right now.

Justin Welsh

BUT if you feel like you don’t have enough skills, you can just go learn a high value skill online for free:

For example:

This year I learned:

  • Design

  • Copywriting

  • Web Design

  • Audience Building

  • Content Marketing

Now I’m not a seasoned pro at any of this, but I am competent.

These skills have allowed me to:

  • Write 250+ pieces of content

  • Build my own website from scratch

  • Build an audience of 11,000+ people

  • And get 1.5 million impressions on the content I’ve written

All because I just committed to learning for these last 9 months.

Here’s the idea behind it..

THE RULE OF 100

You can become proficient in a skill or task if you practice it for 100 hours a year, which is about 18 minutes a day

The Big Picture View:

While each of these skills don’t serve me directly, (because I’m not trying to offer web design services to anyone) they do serve me long term.

And how is that?

They allow me to get to my main goalwhich is to get better at my business.

With these new skills added to my existing skills of sales and marketing;

It allows me to create an offer that I can sell to people:

💡 Which is to sell their own offer online by building an audience and effectively marketing to them using organic content.

See how it all ties together

How to Monetize Yourself:

The biggest dream killer is not failure itself but doubt.

People don’t believe that business is for them, or that they don’t have enough “experience”.

Stop thinking of business as anything more than an exchange of value. You get something useful, I get something useful.

Dan Koe

When you start a business, it is on you to learn the skills necessary to make it work.

You will have to learn a high value skill that solves an important problem for people and has significant demand.

Here are the 3 things you have to learn:

  1. How to package it into an offer

  2. How to build an audience to market to

  3. How to sell through content without hard selling

These 3 things are things we will dive deeper into in future newsletters.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, here are the actionable takeaways for the week:

Step 1: Identify Your Unique Skills and Experience

  • Self-Assessment: Reflect on your past experiences, both personal and professional. What skills do you possess that could provide value to others? This could range from technical skills like coding to soft skills like communication.

  • Market Research: Investigate what skills are currently in demand. Use platforms like LinkedIn, Upwork, or industry-specific forums to see what services people are seeking.

Step 2: Choose additional High-Value Skill to add more tools to your arsenal.

We are in the age of the generalist. The more skills you have the more value you can create. You no longer need to be a specialist in one skill.

Nobody with a business only has one skill. They are generalists that understand how everything works just enough to make it work.

  • Copywriting: Understand how to write persuasive content that sells.

  • Web Design: Gain knowledge in building websites using no code tools

  • Audience Building: Learn strategies for growing an online following.

Step 3: Commit to the Rule of 100

Going into this year pick 3 skills to dedicate at least 100 hours of focused practice to. This breaks down to about 18 minutes a day over a year.

  1. Set Specific Goals: Define what you want to achieve with each skill.

  2. Create a Schedule: Allocate time daily or weekly for focused practice.

  3. Track Your Progress: Use journals or apps to monitor your learning journey.

Step 4: Start Building Your Audience

To successfully market your offer, you need an audience.

This is one of the biggest levers you can pull.

Think of successful businesses now.

They are led and marketed by strong personal brands like Elon Musk, Alex Hormozi, heck even Kylie Jenner became a billionaire off the back of a personal brand.

Again I wrote an entire masterclass to get you started. Access it here

Happy Building!

That’s Not All Folks:
