THE ONE PERSON BRAND

The Blueprint to Your First 10k followers and Beyond.

Introduction

Welcome fellow creator,

If you’ve gotten this masterclass, chances are you are creating content on Linkedin.

The Goal of this guide is to provide you with a proven blueprint for growing and monetizing your personal brand.

This mini course is an introductory module in my Creator OS Program

Important Note:

This course is designed to be dynamic.

- I will update it periodically and add updates over time.

- If you’re subscribed to my newsletter, you’ll be informed about all updates.

Let’s get back to it.

Why I’m giving you this for free:

  1. This is the information I wish I had when I started my brand and I genuinely want to provide value and help you so you don’t have to waste time and energy and struggle like I did in the beginning.

  2. I want to see you build a strong knowledge foundation so that when you are ready to take your brand and business to the next level, you’ll consider working with me.

I am a firm believer that you shouldn’t have to pay $700-1500 for some big creators consulting session in which they only give you a fraction of this information. ( I know because I’ve been there)

Neither should you spend $200 on a course providing more general advice.

I know for a fact that this is better than some of those courses because I’ve bought them, they weren’t worth it.

That’s why I want to keep information I provide completely free and provide personalized solutions or guidance through direct coaching or services because that’s how I can ensure you get the best ROI.

My Story:

You see, I became a "creator" with a dream and a lot of uninformed optimism.

Fortunately, at the time I didn't know that it wasn't enough to be a good creator.

So I wasn't discouraged at the time.

But, what was discouraging was:

  • The crickets I was hearing in my posts

  • The struggle to generate leads and income

  • The lack of results, despite all the effort I was putting in

You know the struggle:

  • Posts → Getting 2-3 likes

  • Content → Looked rubbish

  • DMs → No one would respond

But I changed it around in under 6 months.

I spent hours upon hours, every single day studying good creators, signing up to every single free workshop, newsletter, email list and course.

And unfortunately some paid ones as well (which again were not worth it.)

BUT.. because I had spent over 1000 hours (not joking) just studying how to become a better creator and still do every day:

I came up with my own way of doing things from learning and experimenting.

And wouldn’t you know it, it worked:

  • I started generating 40-60 followers a day

  • DMs started rolling in asking about my business

  • My posts started getting 25,000 impressions every week

All because I started implementing the systems I now teach.

My mission:

I want to help you use positioning, organic content and social selling..

So you can:

  • Create content that turns your readers into followers

  • Build systems that allow you to differentiate your brand from the rest

  • Convert your audience into leads, clients and $$$ for your business

This masterclass is going to give you a definitive framework and strategy that you can continue to build upon to build an absolutely unstoppable personal brand.

At the end of this masterclass you will have a much better understanding of:

  1. How to properly build an audience

  2. How to write effective and impactful content

  3. How to highlight your skills and draw in followers and buyers

This system is exactly what allowed me to generate my first 1.5 million impressions and 10k+ followers with my personal brand spending less than two hours on Linkedin a day.

The good thing for you is that I know that it can be replicated without much difficulty.

Today, I’m giving you the tools.

Let’s get started.

What is Personal Branding?

If you ask me, I’d tell you very simply:

It’s the future.

Allow me to explain with 4 simple stats:

  1. 85% of people are unhappy at work (Gallup)

  • Does that mean they hate their jobs? — Probably not

  • They just aren't happy.

  • And something needs to change, right?

  1. By 2030 eLearning will be $840B industry

  2. X + LinkedIn + IG = 3.6B users

  3. Only 2% of platform users actively publish

These numbers, my friend, signify one thing;

Opportunities.

  • The old model and pathway to success is dying.

  • You either hop on the train now and diversify your opportunities, or you get left behind

I know which one I’m going with.

The best time to start?

Now

With that said, let’s talk about the positive things that building a personal brand can actually do for you..

5 Things Building a Personal Band Can Do For You:

1. Future-proof your career and income:

Build a long-term safety net for your professional life.

  • Job markets change. Industries shift

  • Full-time jobs are far from secure

  • When you have a strong personal brand, you become more than a job title

  • Become a go-to authority when people need what you offer

2. Showcase your skills and expertise:

Your skills are your goldmine.

  • But being great at what you do isn't enough if no one knows about it

  • Showcase your strengths to a global population of internet users

3. Build a loyal community:

Your network is your net worth

  • Make connections

  • Form relationships

  • Show up for your audience

4. Build Significance

Go from undiscovered to widely known, respected expert.

  • Amplify your message for social impact

  • Get the recognition you deserve

  • Build your future- proof skills

5. Gain Leverage

Build digital leverage using simple organic content.

  • Create distribution for a one-person business, startup, future book, etc.

  • You no longer have to be dependent on a full time job

  • Achieve financial independence

  • Earn with your time

The Biggest Challenges Creators Face:

Just because it’s really great doesn’t mean it’s easy:

  1. A significant number of creators experience burnout, which can lead to quitting. Studies suggest that anywhere from 50% to 90% of content creators have experienced burnout at some point.

  2. About 95% of YouTube channels never reach 10,000 subscribers.

  3. Various studies indicate that 60-80% of blogs are abandoned within the first year.

  4. The turnover rate for social creators is high, with many leaving platforms or reducing activity after a few years.

While these numbers don't give an exact overall percentage, it suggests that possibly 70-80% (or more) stop producing content regularly within the first few years.

The reasons include:

  1. Lack of audience growth

  2. Low financial return

  3. Inability to meet goals

  4. Burnout

The Solution:

All of these problems stem from a particular issue

— Lack of proper strategy.

Many creators don’t know what they’re doing.

They're kind of just figuring it out.

In fact they don’t even know that they don’t know enough to make progress.

A proper knowledge base and strategy are crucial.

That’s what I’m going to give you today.

A foolproof blueprint that actually works.

How do I know it works?

— Because I’ve seen it myself.

  1. I’ve learnt it from the best

  2. I’ve used it successfully for myself

  3. I’ve been coaching others to success with it

What We’ll Be Covering:

1. Finding Your Niche and Positioning

2. Building Your Audience and Community

3. How to Write Content that Converts to Leads and Followers

Let’s get into it..

Step 0: Finding Your Niche:

A niche is a specialized segment of the market for a particular kind of product or service.

A question I get a lot is: Why Niche?

Reason number 1:

If you’re trying to cater to absolutely everybody, you are catering to absolutely nobody.

Here are 6 more reasons:

  1. Expertise: Develop deep expertise in their area.

  2. Less competition: Fewer competitors than broader markets.

  3. Specialization: Cater to specific customer needs or preferences.

  4. Customer loyalty: Foster strong customer loyalty due to specialized offerings.

  5. Higher profit potential: Command premium prices due to their specialized nature.

  6. Target audience: Focus on a specific group of consumers rather than the mass market.

How to Find Your Niche

For this step we’re going to be using your Ikigai (A Japanese Concept that illustrates the reason for being)

Not to get too spiritual on you, but I’ll explain why we do this in just a second.

The ideal spot for you as a niche is intersection between:

  • What you love

  • What you’re good at

  • What the world needs

  • What you can be paid for

Now this exercise takes time and experimentation before you settle on something so don’t feel too much pressure to pick something too quickly.

Play around with it.

But this allows us to implement one very important concept.

That concept is that..

The Most Profitable Niche Is You

Your Ikigai will allow you to choose an area where the things you talk about, promote and eventually monetize are a unique blend of who you are.

The more you can inject your authenticity, personality and journey into your brand,

The more success you’ll have.

The 10 Goals Of Your Brand

Every successful brand has a specific purpose for each action taken. You must have that too.

Here are 10 things you need to aim for in order to maximize your brand:

  1. Establishing Credibility and Expertise

  2. Building Trust and Authenticity

  3. Increasing Visibility and Reach

  4. Creating Opportunities

  5. Showcasing Unique Value

  6. Building a Community

  7. Enhancing Online Reputation

  8. Personal Growth and Development

  9. Monetizing Your Brand

  10. Creating a Legacy

This guide is designed in a way that each action I recommend you take has a purpose of moving you towards one of these goals.

Now you have your Goals in check.

The next step is to lay out a clear plan to achieve these goals.

Let’s get into that plan..

The Master Plan

1. Profile Optimization

2. Audience and Community Building

3. Quality Content 101

1. Profile Optimization

How to optimize your LinkedIn profile:

1. Use a professional headshot

2. Create an on-brand banner

3. Optimize Your Headline

4. Beef up your experience section

5. Ask for and include recommendations

1. Profile Picture

Your profile picture and banner is your first impression.

Make it count.

Your profile picture should evoke a feeling:

  • Kind

  • Tough

  • Playful

  • Powerful

  • Empathetic

  • Professional

Your headshot should align with your brand.

  • Take a clean and simple headshot (no selfies)

  • Make sure it’s a high quality image

  • Remove the background and match your banner color

Here are the best background remover apps I’ve used:

2. Create an On-Brand Banner

Your banner is NOT some decorative backdrop — it's your personal advertising, designed to capture attention when someone lands on your profile.

Do: Tell everyone who you are and what you're about.

Don’t: Neglect this space or overcrowd it with too much information.

Here is how to create a killer banner:

Good Design is important

Not all designs are equal.

Your banner should be two things:

  1. Readable

  2. Visually compelling

Pro Tip: Use Canva to add professionalism without the hefty design fees.

Keep it simple. Clarity trumps all.

  • What do you do?

  • Who are you as a professional?

  • Who do you serve?

Think: Elevator pitch in visual form.

2 Things that you need to make a choice on:

  1. 2-3 Brand Colors

  2. 1-2 Brand Fonts

Take some time, play around with it, see what you like, what suits you.

3. Optimize Your Headline

People don't want to read paragraphs to understand who you are. They want it in a snapshot — delivered in your headline.

Be clear: What do you do, exactly?

Showcase your area of expertise : The more specific you can get, the better. Niches matter. Make a clear statement of your expertise.

If you’re starting out, just keep it simple and include these 3 things:

  1. What you do

  2. Who you help

  3. What you offer

For example Matt Gray uses:

Founder & CEO, Founder OS, Proven systems to grow a profitable audience with organic content

If you don’t have an offer, here’s what you can do:

  1. Mention topics what you write about

  2. Mention the outcome people can expect from following you

Here’s an Example of what I would write for myself:

I write about digital writing, branding and solopreneurship | Build a profitable one person brand & business.

Experiment, Observe, Adjust:

Finding the perfect picture, banner and headline takes time, so don't be shy to experiment.

Examples to Follow

Notice how all of these successful creators implement the basics that we’ve talked about while still being unique and true to their brand.

On LinkedIn, the Featured section is your window display.

You want to use it to to guide your audience toward meaningful action — Your offers

  • What do you want your audience to do after viewing your profile?

    • Sign up for your email list? Buy your course? Book a consultation?

Focus on these calls to action and highlight them in this section.

Use on-brand images

Make sure your Featured section doesn’t look like it was just randomly put together.

Professionalism is a must.

Make it:

  • Uniform

  • On-brand images

  • Good Design

Tip: (Canva can help with this).

Eliminate friction

  • Skip the descriptions

  • Keep it simple

  • Keep it short

It might feel counterintuitive, but you want to reduce friction when people show interest in what you offer.

Take a look at these Featured Sections.

Again, no one size fits all but all of them follow some basic rules.

Pro Tip: If you’re dropping a link don’t include a description only the heading.(See the first example in the top left)

This takes you to the link in one click.

5. About Section

This is an opportunity to connect with your audience.

Tell your story:

It’s your place to highlight your unique journey and story — one that can captivate, inspire and relate to your reader.

Here's how I recommend you craft it:

Talk About:

  1. Your inspiration

  2. Your challenges

  3. Your greatest highlights

  4. Your best skills and abilities

  5. And most importantly why this allows you to help your reader. (Your offer)

Wrap up your story with a compelling CTA (Call To Action).

Invite your audience to delve deeper by including a link to your website or an offer.

Here’s a Template you can follow:

[”HOOK”]

[PERSONAL STORY]

[PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS]+ [HOW IT ALL COMBINES TO CREATE YOUR BRAND]

[WHAT YOU OFFER] + [CTA]

About Section Example

6. Experience Section

When including the companies you've worked with, don't just list them.

  • For every role, add bullet points or short descriptions

  • Explain your work experience and the results you achieved.

Utilize relevant keywords (even in your job titles).

  • LinkedIn is a search engine.

  • Using the right keywords in your descriptions boosts your visibility.

  • Think about the keywords potential employers or clients might use to find someone with your expertise.

Examples:

  • Copywriter

  • SEO strategist

  • Project manager

  • Content marketing expert

If you run your own business, display that first.

  • Be sure your business profile has a well-designed logo.

  • Not just for the look but to show legitimacy and professionalism.

7. Recommendations from colleagues and clients

  • Reach out to happy clients or colleagues for recommendations.

  • If applicable, make a recommendation for them first.

  • Always make a mutual benefit. Give first, ask later.

RECAP: How to take your LinkedIn to the next level

LinkedIn is the platform where your professional journey shines

It is a social platform, BUT when leveraged correctly, it's a tool for massive value:

  1. Upload a crisp, approachable profile photo that represents you

  2. Create an on-brand banner that tells people what you do in seconds

  3. Optimize your headline (make it like a short elevator pitch)

  4. Treat your Featured section as a digital storefront

  5. Tell your story in the About section

  6. Highlight your qualifications and accomplishments in the Experience section

  7. Ask for and include recommendations from friends and happy clients

Your Digital Legacy Matters

One important thing you have to remember is that your brand is uniquely yours. It’s built upon your opinions and values and experiences, not just your skills.

If you can’t authentically express your own opinions and thoughts, there’s no point in having your own brand.

You have to promote what you stand for by sharing your skills, experience, and mission with your audience.

You're not just selling products or services; you're combining your unique story, values, and personality into every single interaction.

This authenticity attracts your ideal audience and sets you apart in a very crowded market.

Now, let’s talk about how you can build an audience and community you can be proud of..

2. Audience and Community Building

Why is this important?

You know the saying “your network is your net worth”. Well this rings true on social media as well.

We need to build a community full of people we want for two main reasons:

  1. There’s no point of creating content if there is nobody around to see it.

  2. Your community is the support system that pushes your content out to the algorithm.

Before we dive deep into that, let’s take a look at what I call The Brand Mastery Pyramid.

  1. Your Brand (what we just established) will determine the kind of Audience and Community you build.

  2. That audience sees your Content.

  3. Depending on how well your Content is received, you build your Reputation.

  4. Your Reputation builds trust and authority which ultimately determines how well you can Monetize your brand.

And how do you build an audience?

Again, You will not grow if nobody sees your content.

If your goal is to grow and monetize your brand you need a system to do it.

Let’s talk about that system.

How the Linkedin algorithm works:

  1. You post

  2. The algorithm shows that post to your 1st Degree Connections

  3. Gets good engagement? More 1st Degree Connections are shown the post

  4. Post is doing really well? 2nd Degree Connections are shown the post

  5. Potential to go viral? 3rd Degree Connections are shown the post

How well your post does in the first 60 minutes determines the overall success of the post.

This means your 1st degree connections hold a lot of power.

One of the best ways to algorithm proof yourself, limit low reach and increase your impressions is to actively add people to your 1st degree connections daily.

I personally know people with 250k+ followers who still do this everyday.

How to grow your network:

💡 On Linkedin : Connections = Followers

Two things you can do to get more connections quickly:

  1. Find people in your “niche” through search who are 2nd and 3rd degree connections who have a mutual following

  2. Find engaging and active Linkedin members in the comments of other people’s posts.

Let’s break down each of these.

1. Find people in your “niche” and likeminded creators through search

This is one of the easiest ways to find a lot of people you can connect with.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to the search bar

  2. Type in a letter (just one letter)

  3. Go to the “All Filters” tab

  4. Then you want to filter the search to 2nd and 3rd degree connections

  5. It will give you a bunch of results (I’ve removed them in this screenshot)

  6. Then you want to further filter by “connections of” or “followers of”

  7. Choose a creator you like or someone you’re connected to

Send personalized connection requests to active Linkedin members who are “connections of” or “followers of” someone you know or someone who fits your ICP (Ideal Client Profile)

2. Find engaging and active Linkedin members in the comments of other people’s posts

For this method you want to go to a big or medium creator’s post that has been up for around 6-12 hours (you’ll see mine below in the screenshot).

  1. Filter comments by most recent. You’ll find a lot of comments that have gotten no attention. Leave your comment first so people see you.

  2. Start reacting to and replying to some of these comments. You’ll find a whole bunch of people you can connect with in these comment sections.

  3. Send people you want to connect with or have interacted with personalized connection requests.

This method achieves two things:

  1. You can reply to as many comments as you want and probably generate a lot of inbound connection requests as well.

  1. You’ll be ensuring that the connections you’re making will engage with your post because they are active Linkedin users.

This also builds deeper connections than just sending requests and never actually interacting with the person.

This method is also why my posts would get engagement on par with some accounts with 100k followers even when I was around 5,000 or 6,000 followers.

But we’re not done just yet. There’s still a few more things to keep in mind before our content is algorithm-proof.

Don’t make this mistake:

🚨 Don’t just add numbers.

Connect with people you want and need to connect with.

In order for this to work you need to have the right strategy.

Why?

– Because, follower inflation is real.

There’s no point in having 10k followers if none of them help move you towards your goals.

Who should you connect with?

  • Fellow creators in your niche

  • Creators that teach the niche you’re in

  • People that fit your ideal client profile

How to do outreach:

Send a personalized message:

  • Tell them why you’re sending them a connection request

  • Tell them what you liked about their profile

  • There has to be a mutual benefit

Why do we do this?

  • You want to build authentic connections

  • You want to build familiarity with your audience

  • LinkedIn shows your latest post to those you DM.

Slowly build up your connection requests sent over time:

  • Start at 5 to 10 a day and work yourself up to 20 a day

  • In the beginning you can send about 100 requests per week

  • IF your acceptance rate is high that will go up to 250 per week

  • Block out 2 10 minute blocks in a day to send out requests

If you do this correctly you could add up to 100-200 quality connections every week.

You grow from three things:

  1. Visibility

  2. Reach

  3. Value

Don’t hope to increase your reach and visibility.

— Ensure it

Here’s how:

How to 2X Your Reach:

  • Engage with your network

  • Leave thoughtful comments

  • Have genuine conversations in DMs

  • Create content that provides value to your audience

💡 Commenting and Engagement has no limit.

The more you do it = The more reach you have to grow.

Again, who should you engage with?

  • Fellow creators in your niche

  • People that fit your ideal client profile

  • Bigger Creators that teach the niche you’re in

Basically: Your current and potential connections.

💡 Super easy Engagement Hack:

  1. Make a table similar to the one below

  2. Turn on notifications for all their posts

  3. Make a note of what time they post

  4. Be one of the first people to comment

💡 Pro Tip:

Want to save more time leaving comments?

— Use the voice dictate feature on your phone.

This saves me a lot of time.

How to engage effectively

Like we discussed earlier, every action you take has a purpose behind it and a goal it’s working towards. Effective engagement is a crucial part of growing a strong following and community.

Here’s 3 things you should do:

1. Comment early on posts you need to

  • Turn on notifications

  • Leave a value added comment

  • Come back to see how your comment did

2. Reply to new comments on older posts of big creators

  • After a post has been up for 6-12 hours

  • Newer commenters will not get much attention

  • That’s where you come in. Filter by recent and leave replies

  • Leave a value added comment and a genuine compliment

  • NOTE: only do this with those you want to connect with

3. Speak with new connections in the DMs to get to know them

  • Build authentic connections

  • Build familiarity with your audience

  • LinkedIn shows your latest post to those you DM.

  • If they are a potential lead, this is where you start warming them up.

🚨 But there's one mistake I see too many people making that really hurts their brand and their potential to grow.

– Leaving bad comments.

Good engagement increases reach and visibility, but..

There’s an important difference between:

  • Value added comments &..

  • Comments that do nothing.

Let’s look at these examples:

(Imagine a post about productivity)

Good comment:

“Setting hard deadlines definitely saves time. Using a pomodoro timer also works really well for me.”

  • Is genuine

  • Adds value

  • Is short and clear

  • Has a personal touch

  • Doesn’t address only the reader

Bad comment:

(This is a real comment I got)

“Great insight! Lovely post. One question for you, what’s your favorite food?”

— The exact opposite of a “good” comment.

  • Don’t comment just to comment.

  • Please don’t use AI to write comments.

  • Do not ask questions just to ask a question.

  • Don’t write paragraphs when one line works.

Quality > Quantity.

Now let’s talk about how you maximize your reach, visibility and potential.

3. Quality Content 101

How do you maximize your reach, visibility and potential?

Quality Content

"Content is King"

The quality of your content will make or break the success of your personal brand.

Quality Content always does these 9 things:

  1. Engages Your Audience: High-quality content attracts and retains attention

  2. Builds Competitive advantage: Unique, valuable content sets your brand apart

  3. Provides Value: Good content provides value, answers questions or solves problems

  4. Customer relationships: Content helps build & maintain relationships with your readers

  5. Acts as a Long-term asset: Unlike paid ads, content continues to provide value over time

  6. Builds Brand Authority: Consistently good content establishes a brand as an authority

  7. Increases Social reach: Shareable content boosts social media presence and reach

  8. Allows you to collect Data : Content provides insights into audience preferences

  9. Drives Conversions: Effective content can guide users through the sales funnel

Good content that differentiates you from the rest of the creators is saying and doing the same things that you are.

There are a few moving parts you must leverage in order to do this:

  1. Writing

  2. Design

  3. Your Brand DNA

First, let’s talk about how you leverage your most powerful branding asset:

Your Uniqueness

How to create content that makes you stand out:

You want content that:

  1. Displays your high value skills

  2. Shows off your relevant experience and expertise

  3. Shows off your personal interests & builds relatability

  4. Something that caters to your audience and resonates with them

This is your Brand DNA Matrix

Now your content has direction.

The next step is to give it a strategy.

Every post you make has to have a specific goal. It should have an ideal end result you want to reach after posting that particular post.

This is exactly how you can go about doing this..

You need to build a content funnel

There’s 3 levels of content:

  1. Content that builds Reach

  2. Content that builds Relatability

  3. Content that builds You as an Authority

Here’s what that looks like..

Let’s break these down..

1. Build reach

Broad topics for reach:

  • Use a broad topic in your niche

  • It has to apply to a wide audience

  • This type of content gets engagement and builds a following (end result)

💡 Without wide content your content will not reach your target audience.

Example:

Niche: Helping Founders and CEOs with busy lifestyles lose fat

Reach topic: Fitness

  • Training strategies, Fat-loss, Muscle building, Mindset

    • Hacks, Myths, Lessons, Interesting facts, Stories…etc

2. Build relatability

Specific content your targeted audience can relate to:

Turn your readers into fans (end result)

  • Solves problems and address issues that your audience is facing

  • This includes semi-niche content that is more specific to certain readers

  • This is where you start focusing more on the pain points of your reader

Once you’ve found your audience, it’s time to start guiding them to your offer.

Pro Tip: Use “how I” not “how to”. Show, don’t tell.

Example:

Niche: Helping Founders and CEOs with busy lifestyles lose fat

Reach Topic: Fitness

  • Training strategies, Fat-loss, Muscle building, Mindset…

    • Hacks, Myths, Lessons, Interesting facts, Stories…etc

Relatability Topic:

  • How people with busy lifestyles can get in shape.

3. Build yourself as an authority

Fully niche content:

  • Turn your readers into paying customers (end result)

  • Showcase that you are an authority in your area of expertise

  • Show that your solution to their specific problem works using social proof

    • Client stories

    • Personal stories

    • Success stories

    • Greatest highlights

    • Detailed valuable breakdowns

People will buy something that solves a problem before they buy something that fulfills a desire.

Pro Tip: Leave a killer CTA with a “P.S.” at the end of this post to get warm leads.

Example of a CTA:

P.S. If you’re a Founder or CEO looking to get in your best shape this summer, shoot me a DM and let’s make it happen.

The process does take time.

But if you stick to the strategy it will definitely work.

Not only have I used this, this has worked on me too.

  • I literally became someone’s coaching client from them using this funnel.

  • I saw their content for months and never considered buying

  • Then one day one post just clicked

  • I went through their profile (which was set up perfectly)

And boom I was ready to buy.

  • All because they had spent so much time building that trust, relatability with me (their ideal customer)

Developing Your Weekly Content Strategy:

A potential layout for you:

  • Monday - Build Relatability

  • Tuesday - Build Authority

  • Wednesday - Build Reach

  • Thursday - Build Authority

  • Friday - Build Relatability

  • Saturday & Sunday - Build Reach

Now let’s talk about a few potential caveats we need to address..

Adjusting the funnel based on your goals:

A few things to note:

  • You don’t have to post 7 times a week

  • You don’t have to have a full offer to build authority

If you want to sell more or grow more – adjust your funnel accordingly

Splits based on your goals:

Goal

Reach

Relatability

Authority

Audience Growth

60%

30%

10%

Selling

20%

30%

50%

Balanced Growth & Selling

40%

These percentages can be adjusted depending on your specific niche and audience behavior, but they provide a good starting point for allocating your content creation efforts.

Your funnel is important in order to give your content the right balance.

Here’s how I set up my own funnel

The growth of your brand and your sales depends on one thing:

– The quality of your content.

This quality stems from one crucial step in the content creation process.

The Main Idea of your post.

Here’s how you make sure you always have good ones..

Generating Ideas that blow up:

How to become a master at collecting proven ideas.

  1. Make an easily accessible document/note

  2. Make a table to collect your information

  3. Collect every good idea you can find

  4. Drop your ideas in there for later

Pro Tip: This is where tools like Kleo come in handy

Here’s what that might look like:

Where to find proven ideas:

  1. Other creators

  2. Other platforms

  3. Trending Youtube videos

  4. Newsletters from industry leaders

Take the idea and make it your own

  • Write about it from your perspective

  • Make sure it’s applicable to you

  • Never copy and paste

Here’s where you may think:

“But what about my own ideas?”

Don’t you worry my friend, because now we’re going to talk about..

The Secret Vault of Content Ideas:

— Personal Stories

If you want to come up with 100 completely new content ideas in 15 minutes, take time to reflect and write down your:

  • Mistakes

  • Challenges

  • Insecurities

  • Achievements

  • Biggest Lessons

  • Underrated Skills

  • Successful Routines

This is the Your own Content Machine.

🚨 Just because stories work really well doesn’t mean there aren’t some rules you need to follow.

There’s a right way to do this and a wrong way..

Every good story post I’ve written (which have also been my most viral ones) follow this exact 4 step framework:

  1. Personal Experience: Talk about your personal insight/experience to start the post

  2. Valuable Lesson: Tell them exactly what the key lesson is and highlight the transformation

  3. Actionable Takeaway: Provide an actionable guide that helps them replicate your success

  4. Powerful Message: Make it about your reader and how your experience helps them improve

Science tells us people remember stories more.

But only the ones that they resonate with.

People need a reason to listen to and trust you.

– That reason comes from your experience communicated through your story.

  • Make it personal →  make them relate to you

  • Share a lesson →  something that really helps

  • Make it actionable →  so they can apply it now

  • Leave a powerful message → emotion is memory

Here’s an illustration to help you visualize your viral story sweet spot:

When you do this correctly, a good story post can:

  1. Build relatability with your audience

  2. Build you as an authority by highlighting your experience

  3. Generate a lot of engagement on your post and enhance reach

That doesn’t necessarily mean you should spam story posts. All stories are not equal.

Like with everything; you have to use them strategically

Check out an in depth breakdown of this framework here

Now, you understand Ideas.

Let’s talk about how you create top tier content around them..

Creating Quality Content:

The first thing you should know about writing your content is that you should focus on the value you’re providing before focusing on other things.

This is the backbone of your content.

Now, I understand that this can sound like a vague statement, so let’s dig deeper into this and talk about the things you must do in order to create quality content..

7 things you must do in your content:

1. Provide Value:

As I just mentioned, great content is centered around providing value to your audience.

It has to be either:

  • Educational

  • Entertaining

  • Inspirational

💡 Enrich the lives of your readers in some way.

  • Solving problems

  • Answering questions

  • Adding “inspiration” to their day

  • Offering a fresh perspective that adds value

This is the #1 factor in creating good content and growing your following.

The 8 questions to ask yourself before posting:

  1. Is this interesting?

  2. Would I like this post?

  3. Would I comment on this post?

  4. Is the advice actionable immediately?

  5. Can someone learn something from this?

  6. Does this post invoke some form of emotion?

  7. What is the main problem that I am solving here?

  8. What benefits am I promising to solving the problem?

If you can genuinely answer these questions positively, there’s a very low chance that you will ever post something that isn’t high quality.

You must hold yourself to a high standard.

2. Focus on the emotion:

💡 Emotion = Memorability

Your goal is to invoke the emotional response that you need.

Here’s 10 ways you can do that:

  1. Use concrete examples that readers can relate to

  2. Incorporate quotes from real people

  3. Present surprising or shocking statistics

  4. Ask thought-provoking questions that engage the reader

  5. Use analogies to make complex ideas more accessible and impactful

  6. Employ descriptive language to paint vivid mental images

  7. Share your own emotional journey or perspective on the subject

  8. Use short, punchy sentences for emphasis

  9. Include sensory details when describing events or situations

  10. End with powerful statements or calls to action

3. Write Great Hooks:

The hook is the make-or-break element of your content

Your hook is the ‘scroll stopper” or attention capturer.

🚨 If you can’t get someone’s attention, you can’t get them to read your post.

A good hook should always invoke:

  • Curiosity

  • Desire

  • Fear

Here’s a few ways you can do that..

2 Types of Hooks that perform best for me:

  1. Address a problem your reader may have:

  • Call out a problem your reader is facing

  • If you’re struggling to (pain), read this

    • Example: If you’re struggling to write everyday, read this.

  1. Show your reader an ideal outcome and/or deliver on a promise

  • How to (promise)

  • Examples:

    • How to get ahead of 99% of people.

    • How to write viral posts using my framework

    • How to be more productive without burning out

20 more hook templates that crush it every time:

  1. "The Secret to [Desired Outcome] Is [Unexpected Solution]"

  2. "X Ways to [Achieve Goal] Without [Common Obstacle]"

  3. "Why [Common Belief] Is Wrong and What to Do Instead"

  4. "The [Number] Minute Hack for [Desirable Result]"

  5. "How I [Achieved Result] in [Short Timeframe]"

  6. "The Counterintuitive Approach to [Common Goal]"

  7. "[Famous Person]'s Little-Known Method for [Accomplishment]"

  8. "The [Adjective] Truth About [Topic] Nobody Talks About"

  9. "X Mistakes That Are Sabotaging Your [Goal/Effort]"

  10. "The One Thing You Need to Know About [Topic]"

  11. "Why [Conventional Wisdom] Is Costing You [Valuable Resource]"

  12. "The Surprising Link Between [Two Seemingly Unrelated Things]"

  13. "X Questions to Ask Yourself Before [Important Decision/Action]"

  14. "The [Adjective] Guide to [Complex Topic] for Beginners"

  15. "What [Successful Group] Knows About [Topic] That You Don't"

  16. "How to [Achieve Goal] Even If [Common Obstacle]"

  17. "The [Number]-Day Challenge That Will Transform Your [Area of Life]"

  18. "X Signs You're [Negative Situation] (And How to Fix It)"

  19. "The Forgotten Art of [Skill/Practice] and Why It Matters Today"

  20. "Why [Common Practice] Is Dead and What's Replacing It"

These can be tinkered with in many ways. Once you have enough practice, writing good hooks becomes second nature.

💡 One great tip I can give you on writing good hooks is:

Make it personal

What does that do for you?

  • This immediately makes you more credible

  • People know that your solution works because it worked for you

  • You can never be wrong about your own personal experience

Here’s how you do that:

(let’s use the first 5 templates I just gave you)

  1. "My Secret to [Desired Outcome] was [Unexpected Solution]"

  2. "X Ways I [Achieved Goal] Without [Common Obstacle]"

  3. “How I discovered [Common Belief] Is Wrong and What I Did Instead"

  4. "My  [Number] Minute Hack that got me [Desirable Result]"

  5. "How I [Achieved Result] in [Short Timeframe]" (this one was already personal :P)

You can’t do this with every hook, but you can with most. Again these types of hooks do tend to perform better than most.

🚨 Never overpromise and underdeliver on your hooks.

Keep them simple.

4. Develop Your Writing Skills:

Writing is a future proof skill.

Effective content creation relies on good writing abilities.

Here are 5 components to focus on to improve your writing skills:

  1. Tone

  2. Clarity

  3. Structure

  4. Storytelling

  5. Copywriting

Read extensively, practice regularly, and seek feedback to refine your craft.

And use these tips..

22 Tips to improve your writing:

  1. Write every day: Set aside 30 minutes every day in the morning to practice.

  2. Write for the ear: Use a conversational tone, as if you're speaking to a friend. Avoid jargon and academic language. Read your work aloud to ensure it flows smoothly.

  3. Cultivate an idea garden: Collect interesting ideas, phrases, and observations as you encounter them. Use them in your writing later. Great ideas create great writing.

  4. Trim the fat: Cut unnecessary words and phrases that don't contribute to your meaning. Be concise and direct. Every word should earn its place.

  5. Read every day: Want to write better? Read more. Practice active reading - ask yourself: what makes this writing appealing?

  6. Use one-sentence-stories: Ernest Hemingway once wrote a 6-word story: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn". Here's another one: "As the sun dipped below the horizon, he realized that his journey had been his destination all along."

  7. Illustrate your ideas: Use brief anecdotes or examples. Re-read lesson #6 to see the perfect demonstration of this concept.

  8. Front-load key ideas: Put your most important points upfront, so people read them.

  9. Craft magnetic headlines: Your headline is the first (and sometimes only) thing readers see. Make it irresistible. Provoke curiosity, promise a clear benefit, and use numbers.

  10. Nail your opening: You have mere seconds to hook your reader. Start with a surprising fact, a thought-provoking question, or a gripping anecdote. Give them a reason to keep reading.

  11. Use "you" and "your": Speak directly to the reader. Make your writing about them, not you.

  12. Choose strong, active verbs that convey action and emotion: Avoid passive voice. Don't say - "he ran fast" . Instead say - "he sprinted".

  13. Vary your sentence lengths to create a pleasing cadence: Short sentences hit hard. They're punchy. Impactful. And, if you want your sentences to flow, you can make them longer. Reading aloud helps you find the right rhythm.

  14. Precision paints pictures: Specificity makes your writing come alive. Instead of "tree," try "gnarled oak." Instead of "car," try "sky blue Prius." Precision paints pictures.

  15. Ditch the thesaurus: Fancy synonyms don't improve your writing. They worsen it. Use words you'd use in conversation.

  16. Use dialogues: Now, you might wonder: "Why would I use dialogue in my writing?" Well, as you can see right there - dialogue makes the writing come alive.

  17. Whack weasel words: Words like "very," "really," and "extremely" are verbal tics. 99% of the time, you can cut them without losing meaning. "I was extremely tired" becomes "I was exhausted."

  18. Don't hedge: Don't say: "I think writing is one of the most powerful skills of the 21st century." Say: "Writing is the most powerful skill of the 21st century."

  19. Write with all five senses: Paint a picture - describe how things look, sound, feel, taste, and smell. Bring your writing to life.

  20. Speak on paper: Imagine your reader is right there with you. Write like you're having a lively conversation.

  21. Polish your gems: Spend disproportionate time crafting killer openings and endings. They're your first and last chance to hook and satisfy your reader.

  22. Break the rules: once you know them. Master the principles, then bend them to your will. Originality lies in artful deviation.

How to structure your writing to always write good posts:
