How to REINVENT Yourself

And your Brand and Business with it.

How’s it going my friend,

Hope you’re well.

First off, Happy New Year!

It’s an honor for me to start the new year with you doing what makes me happy— writing. (And hopefully providing some value.)

How many times have you said to yourself:

This year is going to be my year.

Only for nothing to change.

And for you to be in the same place one year later.

Now, exactly a year ago I was in the exact same position.

A year ago, I didn’t have a newsletter.

↳ Today I send emails to hundreds of people

A year ago, I wasn’t writing online.

↳ Today I have an audience of 12,000+ followers

A year ago, I didn’t have direction.

↳ Today I know exactly where I want to go.

↳ AND I also know how I am going to get there.

Just know, this is not going to be some quick hack guide.

You have to make a shift at your most foundational level of being.

You and I both know that: The mind controls everything.

That’s why as an entrepreneur and coach, one of my primary focuses in helping myself and all my clients is getting their mindset right.

This is one of the highest ROI changes you can make

Here’s where people go wrong:

  • They set a goal for themselves

  • The goal is something that they want

  • And it’s also something they can’t get easily

But most people never achieve their goals because they focus too much on the goal and not on the person that they need to become in order to achieve it

You will not achieve the things you want if you don’t have:

  • The right beliefs about yourself

  • The right behaviors to create those beliefs

  • The right habits to make progress every day

  • The right mindset to keep you on track long term

Here’s how you become who you need to be and achieve your goals:

1. Get clear on who you need to become

List out the habits behaviors, mindset, and beliefs that you need to adopt in order to become the person that is capable of reaching your goals.

So let’s say you want to become a better creator.

To Become a Better Creator:

Habits you need

  • Daily Creation: Set aside time each day to produce content.

  • Continuous Learning: Dedicate time weekly to learn new skills.

Behaviors you need

  • Network: Connect with other creators for collaboration.

  • Promote Yourself: Share your work confidently.

Mindset you need

  • Resilience: Bounce back from setbacks.

  • Curiosity: Stay curious about your craft.

Beliefs you must have

  • Value of Creativity: Your unique perspective matters.

  • Long-Term Vision: Consistent effort leads to mastery.

This is only a surface level example. You have to go much deeper.

Really understand what makes the person you want to be tick.

2. Attach your aspirational identity with a real life character.

Choose a real life person you want to be more like. Really study them.

List out the habits behaviors, mindset, and beliefs that you need to adopt in order to become more like them.

For example:

  • I want to approach my writing and creativity more like James Clear

  • I want to approach my business more like Alex Hormozi

  • I want to approach my training more like Bruce Lee

How You can do it:

  1. Pick someone whose values align with yours—an entrepreneur, artist, or leader.

  2. Analyze their successes and failures. What can you learn and apply?

  3. Adopt their habits, behaviors, mindset & beliefs in your own life.

By embodying the qualities of someone you admire, you’ll not only inspire yourself but also take steps toward becoming the person you aspire to be.

3. Take actions that align with your future identity

This is simple. Before you do something;

Simply ask yourself:

  • Would the person that I want to be to what I’m doing?

  • Would the person that I want to approach it differently?

  • Would the person that I want to be do something different?

It’s a simple shift— but it works.

For example:

Before you post a piece of content, Ask yourself:

  • Would Dan Koe post this?

  • Would James Clear write this?

  • Would (my favourite creator) approve of this?

One simple change— to drastically raise your standards.

Don’t chase your goals. Chase becoming your best self.
