How to Get Ahead of 99% of People

Stop wasting time & making excuses

Superior Performance Systems.

Hi Friend,

Hope you’re well.

Did you know:

"The average person spends 47% of their waking hours procrastinating”

Overcoming procrastination & making excuses is the key to your success.

↳ Use this framework:

Make Less Excuses:

  1. Identify your top 3 go-to excuses:

  • "I don't have time"

  • "I'm too tired"

  • "It's too hard"

  1. Challenge each excuse with a counterargument:

  • "I can make time by cutting out 30 mins of social media per day"

  • "I'll feel more energized after a 10-minute workout"

  • "The first step is always the hardest, but it will get easier"

  1. Implement a "No Excuses" policy:

  • For the next 30 days, ban yourself from using your top 3 excuses

  • When you catch yourself making an excuse, immediately replace it with a plan of action

  1. Track your progress:

  • Keep a daily log of when you were tempted to make an excuse, but didn't

  • Aim for at least 3 "no excuses" moments per day

  • Celebrate milestones, like a week or month without using your go-to excuses

“Chronic excuse-makers have 30% lower life satisfaction on average."

Don’t let that be you.

2. Avoid Procrastination:

  1. Identify your procrastination triggers:

  • Overwhelming tasks

  • Boring or unpleasant activities

  • Lack of clear deadlines

  1. Use the 2-Minute Rule:

  • If a task will take less than 2 minutes:

  • Do it immediately instead of putting it off

  1. Break big tasks into smaller steps:

  • Create a detailed, step-by-step plan for tackling larger projects

  • Complete one small step at a time to build momentum

  1. Implement the Pomodoro Technique:

  • Set a timer for 25 minutes of focused, distraction-free work

  • Take a 5-minute break, then repeat

  1. Eliminate distractions:

  • Turn off notifications, close unnecessary browser tabs, and remove temptations

  • Use website blockers or app limiters to restrict access to time-wasting activities

  1. Track your time and productivity:

  • Use a time-tracking app to monitor where your time is actually spent

  • Aim to increase your "time on task" by 10% each week

By developing systems to make fewer excuses and avoid procrastination, you can unlock your true potential and achieve your goals more consistently.
