How to find your motivation

4 Systems to use:

1. The 80/20 Rule: 

Focus on: The 20% of essential activities that generate 80% of your desired results.

2. The 5 by 6 Rule: 

When feeling overwhelmed or stressed, ask yourself if the situation will matter in:

  • 5 minutes, 5 days, 5 hours, 5 week, 5 months or 5 years

  • Prioritize accordingly.

3. The 5-Year Rule: 

Set long-term goals

Then work backward and break them down into smaller steps.

  • Make yearly goals

  • Half yearly goals

  • Monthly goals

  • Weekly goals

  • Daily goals

4. The 9 "Whys" Exercise

  • Ask yourself:"Why is this goal important to me?" 

  • Do it 9 times to uncover your deepest core reasons.

Good Practices to adopt: 

  • Practice self-compassion

  • Find accountability partners

  • Celebrate wins, no matter how small

  • Focus on the journey not the destination.

  • Surround yourself with positive influences

  • Reframe setbacks as growth opportunities
